To Whom it may concern

I am currently on hold with one of your colleagues having phoned back to make a complaint about your colleage who phoned me about 10 mins ago today (about 1pm UK time) to ask if my website was live.
After I pointed out that he could have google’d it, as he then said he wanted to know how I was getting on with the business package, I asked (for the 2nd time in six months) for some assistance with creating new content for my .cymru and .wales domains;
i.e. within my existing package, without using redirects can I create [for instance] dailingual.wales/special ?
He confessed he couldn’t help me, and while I was waiting for him to give me the number of someone who can ( he couldn’t put me through that might have been better) he said that I should try WordPress.
Interesting that he’s plugging your competitors?
He then muttered [audibly to me ” I wish he’d just put the phone down” so I asked to speak to his line manager. He then put the phone down on me.
When I phoned the freephone number I have on my landline for 1&1 someone said “Sales” and then said nothing further , listened to my complaint and has hung up on me too it seems.
As for wordpress, I will try that now: see https://monkeyseamonkeydoo.wordpress.com where you should be able to see a copy of this email for my records.
Both your colleagues today wanted to sell, neither of them wanted to help, which sums up your company pretty well.
Please be advised that I will be seeking compensation to recompense for my time on the phone today and writing this email when I could have been pitching potential clients – and I fully expect you to refund all my payments for 2016  so far on the basis of what you’ve just read.
Good day
Dai Wyn
ON buasai’n well gen i drafod materion busnes yn Gymraeg, diolch.

There will be opportunities for a question and answer session at the end of Ellen’s presentation.”

Subject: kant

‘This weekend sees Aberaeron-born philosopher Howard Lloyd Williams speaking at an international conference dedicated to his work. As one of Wales’ foremost political thinkers – he is a prolific author and regular contributor to political debate in the Welsh media – Williams has recently been appointed as Honorary Distinguished Professor at Cardiff University following a career based in both Bangor and Aberystwyth Universities.

Academics from as far afield as the USA will be discussing themes from his work on the German philosopher Immanuel Kant, still an influential figure in politics and international law. Professor Williams has written extensively on issues such as just war, revolution, rights and peace in the context of Kant’s work. The event will be held at Keele University and will be attended by his family including youngest son Huw, who is now a lecturer in philosophy for the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol. He says of the event, “it is testimony to my father’s career, and the ongoing relevance and significance of political philosophy as a subject, that such an international event is being held.”

Prof. Williams’ first book was published in Welsh in 1980 on Karl Marx’s philosophy. In 1983 he published Kant’s Political Philosophy, the book that brought him international renown. He went on to write books on Ideology, International Relations and German Re-unification, before returning to Kant with the publication of his last two books. He is currently working on a volume on Kant’s Political Philosophy for the Oxford University Press.’

Y penwythnos hon, fe fydd yr athronydd Howard Lloyd Williams yn annerch cynhadledd ryngwladol arbennig i graffu ei waith ef. Mae’n enw a gwyneb adnabyddus yng Nghymru ers dymchwel y Llen Haearn yn Nwyrain Ewrop pan oedd yn rhan o’r tîm darlledu BBC Cymru, ac wedi ysgrifennu sawl llyfr o fri rhyngwladol. Gweithiodd ym Mhrifysgolion Bangor ac Aberystwyth cyn i’w waith cael ei gydnabod yn ddiweddar gyda Chadair ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd hefyd.

Daw ysgolheigion o ar draws y byd i Keele er mwyn trafod themau o’i waith, yn fwyaf arbennig Immanuel Kant sydd dal i gael ei gydnabod fel ffigwr dylanwadol yng nghyfraith ryngwladol. Mae’r Athro Williams wedi ysgrifennu hefyd am chwyldro, hawliau a thangnefedd yng nghyd-destun gwaith Kant. Bydd y teulu yn bresennol i weld y diwrnod arbennig hwn, gan gynnwys Dr Huw Lloyd Williams o’r Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol sydd hefyd yn gweithio ym maes athroniaeth. Dwedodd Huw,
“mae’n adlewyrchu pwysigrwydd rhyngwladol ei waith bod y fath gynhadledd yn edrych ar ei waith yn y modd yma, ac hefyd pa mor bwysig yw athroniaeth wleidyddol fel pwnc erbyn heddiw.”

Cychwynodd Howard Willliams ei yrfa fel awdur yn y Gymraeg gyda llyfr ar Karl Marx yn 1980. Yn 1983 ysgrifenodd Kant’s Political Philosophy, y llyfr a denodd sylw rhyngwladol i’w waith. Canolbwyntiodd yn arbennig ar athroniaeth ryngwladol yng nghyd-destun yr Ewrop fodern cyn dychwelyd i’w brif themau a Kant yn y blynyddoedd mwyaf diweddar. Mae’n parhau i ysgrifennu – cyfrol eto ar athroniaeth wleiydyddol Kant sydd i Wasg Prifysgol Rhydychen sydd ganddo ar y gweill ar hyn o bryd

O edrych ar sefyllfa presennol yr Iwcrain, fe fydd enwau mawrion cyfraith rhyngwladol yn cyfeirio at syniadau sydd wedi eu miniogi gan waith Williams ers iddo ddychwelyd i Gymru wedi coleg bron i ddeugain mlynedd yn ôl.
